How do I setup the Outlook Connector Client?

If this is a new Outlook installation, we recommend that users create a non-Outlook Connector account profile (for example, a POP/IMAP account profile) first. Start Outlook at least once with the non-Outlook Connector account profile and then shut down Outlook. Afterwards, create the Outlook Connector account profile as beliow and use Outlook with that new Outlook Connector account profile. This will help prevent unexpected behaviour from Outlook - it is a way to ensure that Outlook is installed successfully and running as expected.

You can download the Outlook Connector client installer from our website here

Additional Comments

Outlook Connector requires Windows XP or higher and Outlook 2003 or higher to function.

If you are planning to import existing mailbox data into Outlook Connector from a PST file via the File -> Import/Export in Outlook, make sure to run scanpst.exe on the file first and compact the folders to help prevent corrupted messages from being imported into the OC profile.  Scanpst is located under C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 and comes with Outlook.  Note that multiple passes with scanpst may be needed.
